Overview
The Sunrun team is in need of a Damage Resolutions Foreperson who will become a strong contributor and make a difference. In the Damage Resolution Foreperson role, you will be responsible for leading a team of two through troubleshooting and identifying roof leak and roof material issues as a result of solar installation, documenting the proposed solutions & executing the needed repairs. The Damage Resolutions crew is a team of 2 that together has the necessary roofing, PV, and electrical experience to solve roof leak and roof material issues as a result of solar installation. The goal of this crew is a one-stop roof resolution; including removing of necessary modules, roof fix(s) completed, and closing work with tested PV system, up and running. Roofing crews will utilize their core competency of focusing on roof repairs and making Sunrun installations water tight.
Responsibilities
Primary duty will be small roof repairs to make Sunrun installs water tight
Meet with the customers & investigate their damage claim
Troubleshoot the customer's concerns and determine if Sunrun is at fault
Report Findings to management with recommended solution
Communicate effectively with the customer the proposed next steps
Execute the scope of work proposed
Document and report the disposition of the services completed to customer & management
Keep service van stocked properly with appropriate materials
Ensure the quality of the service performed is top notch and fully code compliant
Keep the job site clean and clear of debris
Perform other needed job tasks as requested by leadership
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years experience as an Residential Construction Foreman, preferably including PV experience
Possess a valid driver’s license
Understand and have a command of local utility and AHJ requirements surround Residential PV systems installed by Sunrun
Knowledge of Osha construction safety policy and local specifications
Communication skills necessary to explain to customers to root cause and plan to resolve damage claims
Able to fill out online forms such as damage assessment
Writing skills necessary to fill out necessary forms including damage assessments
Preferred but not required:
5+ years experience with residential roofing
3+ years experience with residential PV installation
State Certified Electrician
Physical Demands
Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)
Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces which requires frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balance
Ability to climb ladders
Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to: excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet environment, and humidity
Ability to frequently utilize hand functions requiring fine motor skills, including but not limited to: fine manipulation, grasping, and pinching
Ability to work within the safe range of equipment such as ladders, fall protection harnesses and other personal protective equipment
Ability to work and maintain balance on roofs and other areas of height
Ability to work in the sun and possibly low light conditions
Ability to walk on rafters, roof tiles, and roof shingles without damage
Ability to distinguish colors such as red, black, yellow, white, green
Ability to work in confined spaces such as attics, basements, and crawl spaces which requires kneeling and crouching
Ability to hear verbal commands and warnings
Ability to work with chemicals using appropriate protections
