Mission
Support the barrel warehouse operation at Clermont or Booker Noe. Schedule and coordinate activities to safely meet barrel filling, barrel entry, barrel withdraw, and barrel dumping activities in a safe and efficient way meeting all quality requirements.
Role Responsibilities
These are the essential functions of the position but not limited to these activities:
Supervise the daily warehouse operations including but not limited to, barrel filling, barrel movements, barrel dumping, shipping of barrels, and bulk liquid.
Follow all safety guidelines, identify and drive safety improvements in all production areas and barrel warehouses.
Ensure routine maintenance of all equipment is completed in a timely manner. Provide support for any equipment that requires non-routine maintenance.
Verify employees are properly trained and qualified for the job as it pertains to quality, safety, and performance
Coordinate shift schedules and manage labor resources efficiently. Assure payroll records and correct labor codes are used in the management system, approve vacation as requested by the team.
Provides coaching and disciplinary counseling to employees in the department
Maintain clear communication between the various warehouse crews, warehouse supervisors and other support functions interfacing with the operation of the Barrel Warehouse Department.
Supports the implementation of operational excellence, ensuring the empowerment of teams within the continuous improvement culture and implementation of lean best practices.
Administer and enforce company policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge of continuous improvement practices
Experience in ERP systems (SAP)
Experience in a unionized environment
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or related field
2 years of supervisory experience
Good communication and organizational skills
Knowledge of Microsoft applications
Physical Requirements
Constantly walking, standing, and sitting
Work at heights
Must be able to climb a minimum of three (3) flights of stairs in succession
Must be able to work in hot or cold conditions
