    Mission of Role

    Building Commercially Successful Brand Extensions businesses for the Strategic Brands

    Role Responsibilities

    • Leading cross-functional effort to bring alive identified Brand Extensions from Ideas to Go Live followed by successful commercialization including distribution, impactful visibility, and accelerated depletions

    • Enable cohesive partnerships with & leverage of Suntory Commercial FOTS network for Packaged Drinking Water, Club Soda & other beverage extensions:

    • General & Modern Trade

    • On & Off Trade channel seeding, distribution & visibility

    • Placement in Brand Sponsored Events, Indian Weddings & Corporate Events

    • Create Annual Plans & 3 Years Strategic Priorities documents for each of the Brand Extensions business

    • Identify Brand Building opportunities within Suntory Trade Network as well as the surrounding FMCG channel

    • In Store Displays, Shopfronts, POS drives, etc.

    • P&L delivery for the various brand extension businesses

    • Conduct Monthly Reviews with Internal FOTS, 3P Partners

    • Monthly Business Performance Dashboards & Updates

    • The role will require extensive Gemba & Business linked Travel

    • Constantly watch out for emerging consumption trends to identify scope for new categories & opportunities within the Non-Alcoholic Beverage space.

    Financial Accountabilities:

    • Plan, manage & execute the BTL & OPEX budget to support distribution & visibility

    • Provide strategic roadmap & carry out annual OPEX & BTL budgeting in line with the growth plans

    Leadership Accountabilities:

    • Leads all commercial marketing/BTL planning and delivery of programs for various Brand Extensions - collaborating with Brand Teams while handling their appropriate budget share

    • Collaborate with brand/innovation, wider customer marketing and sales/activation organization to deliver brand activity and requirements on time in full (OTIF)

    • Provides critical inputs for commercial and business reviews including any other key internal meetings - leading commercial course correction where vital

    Stakeholders

    You will work closely with the Commercial, Brand, Finance, HR and Legal teams in India. Regular interactions including business updates to the Managing Director & India Leadership Team at Suntory Global Spirits India. You will also meaningfully engage with key regional & global stakeholders including the SBF teams on NPDs

    Qualifications

    • Postgraduate in business/strategy/management from Tier 1 or Tier 2 institution
    • 8-10 years experience in the Channel with a minimum of 5 years of Managerial experience in Alcobev/ relevant industries
    • High level of strategic, conceptual, analytical and creative skills
    • Action-biased and output-oriented approach toward ambitious targets
    • Team-oriented and collaborative outlook with coaching ability
    • Exudes leadership presence and strong communication skills
    • Demonstrates experience in driving change management and business re-engineering
    • Drive the Channel teams to deliver on the Orgainisational goals
    • Demonstrates high levels of adaptability, flexibility with regards to new challenges and the use of new networks and entrepreneurial skills

      • Must have experience in In Alco - Bev & Beverages Industry

      • Strong Background in/ Experience & Understanding of Quality & Franchise Handling

      • Sales/commercial experience in alcobev, consumer goods coupled with project-based work on route-to-market

      • Sound Understanding of the role of Brand Extensions as key enablers to Long Term Brand Building & the Laws governing Brand Extensions in India

      • Bias towards fact-based, analytical approach
