    Position summary

    k Management (ERM) is crucial for managing risks across the entire Suntory group, supporting both management and business success. ERM involves identifying and handling risks related to Suntory Global Spirits' strategy and goals. As an integral part of the corporate leadership team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, prevent, mitigate, and monitor enterprise risks. This role is crucial in helping the company achieve its strategic goals while protecting our reputation and assets. This position requires a high level of agility, exceptional project management expertise, proficiency in risk management tools, and a deep understanding of external, strategic, sustainability, financial and tax, and compliance risks.

    This role reports directly to the Chief Environmental Sustainability Officer and Head of ERM.

    Role Responsibilities

    1. ERM Strategy Development and Implementation:
    • Execute a robust ERM framework following Suntory Holdings ERM Guidelines and Risk Management Policy, specifically tailored to the unique challenges of the spirits industry.
    • Evolve policies, procedures, and processes to identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor enterprise-wide risks.
    • Leverage risk management tools such as Riskonnect to track, analyze, and report on risk exposures.
    1. Agile Project Management
    • Manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and measurable outcomes.
    • Develop project plans, timelines, KPIs, and dashboards to track progress and measure success.
    • Use project management tools (e.g., Planisware, MS Project, Asana) to successfully deliver ERM and global environmental, social, and governance regulatory (e.g., EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) requirements.
    1. Risk Assessment and Analysis:
    • Support risk assessments across the organization, including external, strategic, sustainability, financial and tax, and compliance risks.

    • Work with teams to conduct regular risk assessments, scenario analyses, and stress tests to ensure preparedness against emerging threats.

    • Maintain a comprehensive risk register, prioritizing current and emerging risks and recommending mitigation strategies.

    Qualifications

    • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management, Project Management, Internal Audit, Strategy, or a related discipline, preferably within the spirits, beverage, or consumer goods industries.

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Finance, Strategy, Sustainability, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CRMP, CERA, CPA, or MBA) preferred.

    • Strategic thinker with an enterprise-wide view, capable of identifying risk themes at the enterprise level.

    • Proven ability to develop and implement risk management frameworks in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex and visualize data into actionable insights.

    • Proficiency in using risk management software and tools, such as Riskonnect and other analytics platforms.

    • Expertise in project management skills, with proficiency in tools like Planisware, MS Project, Asana, or similar platforms.

    • Exceptional communication, meeting facilitation, and presentation skills, including developing clear and actionable PowerPoint presentations and meeting minutes.

    • Experience in multinational corporations or consultancy with a global reach.

    • Proven track record of leading initiatives that improve organizational resilience.

    • Understanding geopolitical risks, tariffs, and their impact on global business operations.

    • Experience developing operational resiliency and business continuity plans to manage potential supply chain risks and disruptions.

    • Certifications in ERM, sustainability, or project management.

    • All applicants must have legal authorization to work in the country where the position is based and can travel to other locations where Suntory Global Spirits conducts business (travel <25%).

    The salary range for this role, based in Chicago, is $155,000- $170,000, along with an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits. The salary range is commensurate with the candidate's location, experience, and skillset. The range will vary if outside of this location.
