Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement Java-based applications and web services utilizing J2EE frameworks.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions using Agile methodologies.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that meets business requirements.

Test and debug code using Junit and other testing frameworks.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices.

Create technical documentation and user manuals for developed software applications.

Support, troubleshoot and maintain existing software applications.

Work with Application Servers like JBoss EAP 7+ to deploy applications and maintain them.

Work with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) like SQLServer, Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2 to design, develop and maintain data structure

Utilize Git for version control and participate in code reviews.

Experience with cloud-based technologies and platforms like AWS or Azure.

Familiarity with front-end technologies like JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Angular and Angular Material.

Experience with DevOps tools and practices.

Understanding of software security best practices.

Insurance industry domain experience including implementing policy administration systems

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

4+ years of experience in a software development role, with a focus on Java, J2EE

Strong technical skills in Java, JEE, Git, RESTful service architecture, SQL, JDBC, Junit.

Knowledge of application servers like JBoss EAP 7+ and life insurance domain.

Experience with RDBMS like SQLServer, Oracle, PostgreSQL, DB2.

Experience working with Atlassian JIRA and Atlassian Confluence.

Understanding of Agile methodologies.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
