BENEFITS INFORMATION: For information on Sysco’s Benefits, please visit https://SyscoBenefits.com JOB SUMMARY This role ensures timeliness, integrity, and accuracy of all Accounts Payable expenditures. Manages and coaches’ staff, including training, hiring, disciplinary actions, and all workload assigned to Accounts Payable. RESPONSIBILITIES Establish department objectives and goals. Hire, supervise, train, and develop all directly assigned personnel, as well as responsibility for disciplining and providing on-going formal and informal feedback to direct reports. Analyze and report trends in Accounts Payable with suggested procedures. Collaborate with Merchandising, Sales, Suppliers and Operating Companies concerning invoice processing and dispute resolution. Develop efficiencies or new processes to allow for an increase in work capacity with little increase in headcount. Strengthen payment controls by increasing Electronic Funds Transfer, monitoring cash discounts, and improving auto-vouch rates. Improve working capital by identifying ways to increase Accounts Payable terms. Perform monthly account reconciliations for Accounts Payable related liability accounts. QUALIFICATIONS Education Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Experience 5-7 years of Accounting, Accounts Payable, Claims experience. Minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience. Professional Skills Ability to lead all activities including planning, organizing, and managing the workload, projects, and activities for the department. Excellent communication skills, listening and negotiation skills to articulate ideas and thoughts clearly through various means, including written, oral communications with all levels of the organization up to and including senior management. Demonstrates strong management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under strict deadlines, department policy, procedures, and budget constraints. Ability to summarize and present information to senior leadership in the organization using tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, etc. The above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by associates within this classification.
