Job Description:

TD Securities is seeking a highly motivated Asset Backed Securitization (ABS) Structurer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asset-backed securities, finance, and quantitative analysis. This role involves structuring and underwriting ABS-related deals, building collateral, cashflow and credit models, and working closely with various teams to support strategic initiatives and projects.

The Associate, ABS Structurer is responsible to contribute to the strategic development of the banks Debt Capital Markets Originations business in the U.S.A., ensuring underwriting positions and swap exposures are within approved limits, while maintaining and enhancing the Banks profile and market share.

Key Responsibilities:

• Structuring and underwriting ABS-related deals.

• Working with 3rd parties in underwriting processes.

• Building and maintaining ABS-related collateral, cashflow, and credit models.

• Collaborating with banking teams for new deal pitches.

• Assisting sales teams with investor requests and stress scenario analysis.

• Studying rating agencies' coverage and methodologies.

• Generating new structuring strategies.

• Identifying new subsector growth opportunities within the bank with the coverage group.

Depth & Scope:

• Ensures that underwriting positions and swap exposures are within approved limits

• Consults closely with the bank's other operations in Canada, Europe, Asia Pacific and the U.S. to assist in meeting the firm's objectives

• Observes strict adherence personally and at a desk level to the firm's procedures

• Understands and complies with TD Securities (USA) Policies, regulatory and compliance requirements, ensuring that transactions are fully documented and processed accurately and in a timely manner

• Provides expert knowledge on market data, economic information and key industry developments as well as regulatory

• Standards, to assist in maximizing profitability through sound business decisions

• Develops and maintains contacts with market participants and as a key syndicate contact is responsible for supplying market information to partners with the TD global DCM group

• Responsible for communicating bank policy information and recommending strategies between your product head and relevant DCM personnel

• Demonstrates governance, control and risk management behaviors in alignment with TD policies and practices

Education & Experience:

• Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics

• Series 7 and 63

• 3+ Years of related experience

• Must be detail oriented and possess problem-solving skills

• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and establish priorities
