    Job Description:

    DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

    TD Finance, Governance, Risk and Control (Finance GRC or 1B)'s mandate is to enable and support Finance partners to identify, understand, manage and mitigate risks in their operations, in adherence with internal and regulatory requirements, requests and expectations. We support Finance by ensuring the business adheres to the key risk programs through training, monitoring, testing and provision of risk management advice, insights and reporting. We also oversee the policies and standards governing financial reporting activities in order to mitigate financial reporting risk. We foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and community giving.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    As a Junior Analyst, Finance GRC, you will be responsible for testing of Finance's risk management programs and controls, including financial reporting controls.

    • Contribute to 1B testing of Finance's compliance with key risk programs including operational risk oversight, insights and reporting such as:

    • Testing or assessing the effectiveness of controls designed and implemented to support the Business

    • Facilitating creation of remediation plans o

    • Testing for compliance with GL Reconciliation and Attestation policy.

    • Document testing results through testing templates and workpapers.

    • Input of testing results in the Control Testing (CT) book of record (Archerbased tool 'Merlin').

    • Summarize testing results through MS Power Point presentations.

    • Work in MS Excel to provide initial data analysis of account population for GL Testing program. Internal

    • Partner with other teams and lines of defense on control effectiveness monitoring

    • Contribute to effective, transparent culture of risk awareness, accountability, ethics, integrity, and conduct.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term (requirement of all co-op/intern positions)

    • Study toward University degree in Business, Accounting or other relevant fields

    • Financial industry experience would be considered a strong asset

    • Advanced user of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

    • Thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment, managing multiple deadlines and priorities
