The Risk and Capital Studio team is looking for a Managing Engineer in New York to extend the strategic Risk and Capital Studio (RCS) platform for the global trading desks at TD Securities to address the delivery of new regulatory initiatives, namely Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB).

    The team is responsible for the development and support of our derivatives (Interest Rate, FX, Credit, Commodity) valuation, trading risk and capital studio platform at TD Securities. This project uses the latest in technology, DEVOPS and approach to deliver highly scalable technology solutions that facilitate all parts of our business. The core team is in New York and Toronto with a presence in London and Singapore.

    The ideal candidate would be a self-starting, motivated and high-performing individual who looks forward to be a strong contributor in a dynamic technology organization at a major bank. This complex role is on a team of highly talented technologists delivering solutions to the global markets business, providing front to back pricing, risk and capital metrics across a spectrum of FX, Fixed Income and Credit products. The candidate will be required to effectively leverage and extend the Valuation Services (VS) Veritas platform to implement capital studio engine for (value at Risk) VAR and (Fundamental Review of Trading and Banking Book) FRTB reporting. • Around 7+ years of experience as a software engineer working on large scale development projects
    • Strong knowledge of core Java and cloud computing
    • Working knowledge of building Java services
    • Experience working with ZeroMQ, Apache Kafka, Google ProtoBuf, REST services
    • Good understanding of Swaps, Bonds and P&L attribution
    • Experience working on big data sets with bi-temporal support
    • Engage and coordinate change across multiple groups
    • Strong leadership qualities, experience managing teams is nice to have
    • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent work experience.
    Post-graduate degree preferred.
