The incumbent will be responsible to ensure compliance of Mong Duong Power Company Environmental, Health and Safety compliance to all parties and ensure all permits and procedures are updated. He will be responsible for implementing the management of environment, health and safety in the company.
Key Result Areas
Implement Safety management plan, Environment management plan, EHS procedures and internal/ external reporting during Plant Constructions and Operations.
Maintain company environment permits and monthly reporting to governments & other stakeholders.
Help establish a world class safety culture at AES Mong Duong.
Implement Best practices in EHS in AES plants around the world and implement them at AES Mong Duong.
Establish OSH Auditing procedure at AES Mong Duong.
Initiate, coordinate and develop HSE related training programs.
Maintain EHS records as per the requirement of AES Mong Duong EHS procedures.
Programs Implementation: Closely coordinate with the Operations, Maintenance and Other Support Groups in the implementation of Solid Waste, Hazardous Waste Management and other related Environmental Programs
EMS Implementation: Assists in the establishment and implementation of Environmental Management System
Conduct of Monitoring: Assists in the conduct of monitoring and other related monitoring activities
Compliance: Strictly complies with corporate governance and principles, such as but not limited to Housekeeping, Safety, Environmental, and Code of Conduct and Discipline
Implement the environmental monitoring program and report to DONRE; MONRE; lender and other stakeholders as EIA requirements;
May perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Job Specifications / Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Environment / Safety Engineering or equivalent
At least 8 years of experience in Operational plant / Industry.
Has a positive attitude & strong advocacy of safe work practices and procedures
Must have reasonable communication and interpersonal skills.
Has excellent English reading and writing skills.
Must possess proficient skills in Microsoft Office software
Must have experience of implementation of EHS procedures.
Must have experience of conducting Risk assessment and Env Aspect Impact Assessment (AIA) of operational plant. Implementation & review).
Management of Change (MoC) process.
Knowledge of Lock-out & Tag-out (LOTO).
Knowledge of Incident investigation.
Management of contractors in Operational plant.
Good understanding of local and international Environmental regulations.
