Reporting Relationships: This position reports to US Thermal Generation Global Category Coordinator Manager (SBU based)
Job Summary: Position is expected to have experience in Supply Chain, Power Plant Operations processes, ERP Systems, technology development, planning and/or programming tools to interact with multiple global sourcing teams and business units. Following strategy guidelines defined and working in close communication with Category Coordinator Managers, this position will be leading global/regional bidding processes for any specific thermal generation category, as well as providing local/regional support to the specific US business units. Able to apply experience and technical knowledge related to thermal power plant functionality on the job tactical activities, including SAP (Materials Management module) and Ariba (bidding management) process decisions is a plus.
Responsibilities: The Category Manager will have responsibility (but not limited) for:
Qualifications: The candidate will have minimum of 3+ years’ experience in Power Generation, Oil & Gas (plant engineering or procurement for a power plant) and/or Integrated Utility. This individual will be highly collaborative and have proven skills in developing a consensus from diverse opinions in a highly fluid and sometimes ambiguous environment. This individual will bring data driven business propositions in a diverse environment.
In addition, we expect the qualified candidate to have:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain/Purchasing/Sourcing or Engineering (preferable Mechanical/Electrical). Financial knowledge/experience is highly desirable.
