1)Work safely, following company policies, procedures and work practices in a positive, cooperative and productive manner.
2)Working knowledge of power plant operations and maintenance, electrical principles, work practices, procedures and materials.
3)Perform work in connection with testing, calibrating, maintenance, repair and replacement of power plant process instrumentation and control systems.
4)Knowledge of distributed controls systems (DCS) and all associated field devices.
5)Knowledge of industry related CEMS hardware, software and reporting.
6)Ability to interpret control drawings, P&ID’s, loop sheets, schematics and other craft related drawings. Update equipment documentation and drawings as needed.
7)Ability to work on air systems actuators, solenoids, switches and pneumatic control system equipment.
8)Coordinating activities with Operations, maintenance, Engineering, contract personnel and outside vendors for maximum plant safety and efficiency.
9)Monitor work request and record work results in the SAP system.
10)Perform both routine and non-routine preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on plant equipment.
11)Perform and document preventative maintenance on instrumentation equipment according to manufacture and/or plant requirements.
1)Minimum of 5 years in industrial plant experience or a combination of power plant training and experience.
2)Excellent communication skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
3)A flexible “Whatever It Takes” attitude. Ability to respond quickly to abnormal plant operating conditions.
4)Must be results oriented, self motivated, and able to work with limited direct supervision. Able to analyze cause and effect situations.
5)Strong interpersonal relationship skills.
6)Computer literate and competent in the use of MS word and Excel.
7)A basic understanding of a CMMS system is required, SAP program is preferred
