    Position summary

    Role Summary;
    Responsible for the completion of accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing-related activities, fixed assets and other general ledgers. Evaluates results (i.e., schedules and reports), ensuring accuracy, and considers impacts to accounting and revenue; proactively identifies issues or opportunities for improvement, and discusses ideas with more senior associate and manager. Works independently on standardized/recurring assignments and under the direct supervision of more senior associate and manager on complex projects, analyses and tasks. In the future, the team plans to be responsible for managing accounting for some ex-Japan entities in Asia. According to future circumstances, some other challenging jobs might be added depending on abilities.

    Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions;
     Accounts Payable, Account Receivable, Fixed Asset and General Ledger
    Account Payable;

    • Complete payments and control expenses by receiving, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.
    • Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
    • Maintain historical records.
    • Change expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices/expense reports.
    • Pay vendors by scheduling, preparing SAP AP documents, verifying consumption taxes and resolving related payment issues.
    • Pay associates by receiving and reviewing expense reports, verifying consumption taxes, scheduling, preparing SAP documents and resolving related payment issues.
    • Record journal entries related to bank transfers.
    • Prepare analysis of accounts and produce monthly reports.
    • Monitor all banking activities in order to detect irregularities.
    • Prepare legislative documents (e.g., w/h tax, tax number system) by reviewing, interpreting and implementing laws.
    • Supervise a temp staff who supports the above Account Payable processes.
      Account Receivable;
    • Record AR journal entries by preparing and uploading SAP AR documents.
    • Maintain the billing system by closely working with Investment Operation.
    • Perform account reconciliations.
    • Produce monthly AR reports.
    • Investigate and solve any irregularities and enquiries.
      Fixed Asset;
    • Record in the accounting system newly acquired fixed assets and those disposed.
    • Maintain asset numbers with Office Services and IT to effectively track them from time to time.
    • Maintain depreciation calculation for all fixed assets.
    • Perform revision and update on the detailed schedule of accumulated depreciation.
    • Perform calculations for ARO applicable assets.
    • Assist Manager and Lead Accountant for an office relocation project.
    • Perform property tax returns.
      General Ledger;
    • Record journal entries related to salaries by closely working with Human Resources.
    • Perform monthly journal entries for prepaid and unpaid expenses.
    • Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis, including bank accounts and any other balance sheet accounts.
    • Perform the reconciliation and verification of banking accounts regarding cash at hand and cash at bank.
    • Maintain required files, reports and data.
    • Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
    • Co-work other closing processes with Lead Accountant.
       Audit
      Assist with external audits, understanding auditor's requests and responding with proper documentations; seeks guidance from more senior associate and manager on more complex requests.
    • Answer questions about Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Asset and General Ledger from auditors.
    • Assist Lead Accountant and Manager for completing audits.

     Tax
    Assist with tax filing and tax provision, understanding basic corporate taxes; seeks guidance from more senior associate and manger on tax filings and semi-annually & annual tax provisions

    • Assist Lead Accountant for preparing tax provisions and filing tax returns.
       Others
      Participates in and may plan for key business projects, including business processes.
    • Work closely with US and other regional entities on various projects.

    In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
