    Position summary

    ng documentation to ensure accounting and tax records are accurate prior to review and approval by more senior associates.

    • Gather and analyze information for preparation of supporting tax documentation with increasing complexity.

    • Determine appropriate action to resolve exceptions between internal and external systems.

    • Prepare, review, and reconcile tax reports, documents, and respond to ad hoc requests

    • Perform self-review of work and peer review of some periodic/production work.

    • Collaborate with associates to identify and implement process improvements and automated solutions to workflows.

    • Identify and assess business risk. Leverage resources to gather facts, identify and escalate issues, and identify possible solutions.

    • Model skills and technical knowledge and provide training to new associates.

    • You have a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or a relevant field of study. CPA is preferred.

    • You have 2+ years of tax, accounting, finance, or industry experience.

    • You are proficient in Microsoft Excel with a demonstrated strong ability to learn accounting-related systems.

    • You are attentive to details and demonstrate accuracy in a deadline driven environment.

    • You have a passion for problem solving and multi-tasking.

    • You are available and open to work overtime as needed.

    Orange County Base Salary Range: $71,425-$114,280

    Hampton Roads Base Salary Range: $60,234-$96,374

    In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
