Position summary

Role summary:

Under limited direction, works as a first-level manager; is responsible for day-to-day operations and the site(s) physical office environment. Manages a team responsible for executing the daily activities within the site(s). Consistently applies organizational policies, guidelines, and business objectives to effectively resolve business issues for all responsible sites. Offers direct guidance, oversight, and support to one or more smaller regional offices. Maintains knowledge of local policies and regulations and applies accordingly to site operations.

Primary responsibilities/essential functions:

  • Steward of the physical environment, manages services and their impact on CG culture, core values and core businesses

  • Is responsible for managing the planning, operations, and delivery aspects of the following:

    • Facility maintenance
    • Vendor management
    • Safety and security (including Ergonomics)
    • Associate services (https://e.g., convenience benefits, transportation)
    • Visitor services (https://e.g., reception and the visitor experience)
    • Food service operations
    • Business continuity local site planning and event response
    • Space planning and move coordination
    • Mailroom and/or Reprographics
    • Coordination of the leasing function and management of the relationship with building management
    • Site-wide events to engage associates and build office camaraderie
    • Procurement of office, pandemic supplies, and equipment
  • Collaborates with site leadership and OS senior management to establish service standards and guidelines. Ensures established guidelines are followed by the team.

  • Contributes and participates in the local site governance group to improve the associate work experience

  • Manages the site operating budget.

  • Participates in business planning and strategy discussions within Office Services, often leading department initiatives.

  • Reviews site processes and work product for consistency, to identify risk, assure best practices and ensure alignment with current business needs.

  • Provides guidance on operational issues, technical questions, business processes and management concerns.

  • Oversees the servicing of local meeting and travel needs.

  • Collaborates and consults with site leadership to assess, recommend and respond to urgent, safety/security issues and/or highly visible business events (https://e.g., safety and security response issues, business continuity events, crisis management, leadership meetings etc.) as needed.

  • Plans staffing levels for Office Services at the site.

  • Works with senior business leaders in the region and in Office Services globally to develop strategic and tactical direction for Office Services in the region

  • Manages site projects and related vendors that impact the office set up and productivity

  • Establishes individual/team goals with associates to support business objectives

Working conditions:

  • Work is sometimes performed outside of normal business hours. Urgent response issues require a 24-hr on-call commitment.

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
