    As a Genesys Lead Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing technical solutions using the Genesys product suite in support of business initiatives. You will analyze business requirements, design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain contact center solutions, to ensure these solutions support current and future business needs of American Funds.

    You will lead the Architecture of the Genesys platform and interact with other technology Architects to deliver integrated contact solutions. Your scope will include creating a technical vision and influencing the business technology roadmaps by providing solution leadership, drawing on extensive technical, business, industry and/or product knowledge. You will provide senior technical leadership and consulting to your peers and teams.

    • You have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or other technical field; or have equivalent work experience

    • You have a minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years working with the Genesys Engage Contact Center application including IVR, call recording, telephony, Voice, eServices, call routing (IWD), NLU, Analytics, reporting and associated technologies

    • You have at least 5 years of experience leading large scale application development efforts that integrate with complementary services

    • You have proven expertise and development with the following technologies: C#, Java, Web Services (RESTful, SOAP, etc.), SQL Server, Postgres, Genesys Pure Engage, NICE WFM, Audiocodes

    • You've had previous experience with Cloud architectures (AWS, Azure)

    • You are a skilled communicator. You place a high value on being authentic, respectful, and engaging. You've facilitated a variety of successful meetings ranging in size, with diverse audiences

    • You're a generous collaborator. You've fine-tuned your communication style to effectively influence and shape technology direction.

    • You've demonstrated the ability to scope & size technology solutions within relevant business constraints (e.g., time to market, cost, etc.)

    • You adapt programming literacy to match the shifting demands of different outcomes and technologies.

    • You have a passion for driving change and innovation. You introduce innovative ideas that push boundaries and challenge our culture when needed.

    • You apply knowledge of composable architectures, serverless computing and cloud native technologies when developing solutions


    Southern California Base Salary Range: $158,620-$253,792

    San Antonio Base Salary Range: $130,398-$208,637

    In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
