The Alternative Market Placement department (AMP) functions as an insurance agency within The Hartford. We provide coverage options to meet the needs of our agents and small business owners for exposures that fall outside of Hartford’s Small Commercial appetite. The AMP team works with brokers and carriers to place and service these additional lines of business on small commercial accounts.
We also provide access to Maxum Insurance (subsidiary) while still allowing for a total account solution within our policyholder services capabilities.
This role can be located at any of the office hubs or worked remotely.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to New Business and Renewal Account Managers by processing transactions including endorsements, cancellations, invoicing and other policy request
Solicit information from brokers, agents and small business owners by email and/or phone to assist in the issuance of renewal and new business policies
Respond effectively and promptly to internal and external requests for information and competently prepares documents, policy information and files
Manage incoming personal and team email boxes using superior multi-tasking and priority setting skills
Responsible for consistently demonstrating follow-through and proper documentation of customer accounts
Serves as a technical resource, coach and trainer
Master new automation tools as they become available
Consistently exceeds quality and production objectives

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$32,080 - $48,120
