    Position summary

    ntelligence Consultant will have a strong Business Intelligence background, a talent for telling stories with data, an aptitude for collaborating with business customers, and a focus on delivery. A strong commitment for advocacy and adoption of the Business Intelligence and analytical solutions is a key success criteria for the position.

    This successful candidate will help execute a roadmap for delivering data and analytical capabilities, as well as understand and coordinate the prioritized backlog. Other responsibilities may include partnering with other BI Consultants around best practices, standards, training, documentation and peer reviews.

    Responsibilities

    • Drive execution of the data & analytical capabilities roadmap to solve current business challenges and unlock new opportunities.

    • Create new and/or enhance existing dashboards and visual analytics that empower business partners to make informed, data-driven decisions.

    • Deliver high-priority or advanced BI, data, and analytical capabilities that support enterprise goals and innovation.

    • Manage individual workload effectively while maintaining clear and proactive communication with team members and leadership.

    • Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate data or analytics issues to ensure timely resolution and maintain data integrity.

    • Translate stakeholder feedback into actionable improvements by collaborating with product owners and development team to design, develop, deploy, and support AI & visual analytic tools.

    • Partner with IT, data, and other BI organizations as a thought leader to elevate enterprise-wide data and analytics capabilities.

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate for the BI Consultant position has a passion for building BI/analytical/data solutions, is results-oriented and is self-motivated. A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following qualities in a fast-paced environment:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience

    • Proficiency in querying languages.

    • Experience with advanced features of data visualization tools. (Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Power BI)

    • Experience with delivering GenAI solutions within BI tools.

    • Solid foundation in statistical analysis and ability to analyze datasets to identify trends and patterns.

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address complex business challenges.

    • Excellent communication skills to present data insights clearly and effectively to stakeholders.

    • High attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to cross-functional projects.

    • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies, platforms, and methodologies to solve business problems.

    • Specialty Insurance experience is a plus

    This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office (Columbus, OH, Chicago, IL, Hartford, CT or Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

    Candidates must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.

    Compensation

    The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
    $76,000 - $114,000
