    The Regulatory reporting organization within the Actuarial Information Services department is seeking a talented professional business data consultant to join our team. Our ideal candidate will develop strong regulatory reporting knowledge and exhibit strong analytical and research skills.

    The Hartford’s Regulatory Reporting team provides statistical data from all P&C segments to internal and external business customers. The business data consultant role is critical to ensure the required data is reported on-time with the highest of quality.

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyze, gather and report statistical data to external regulators
    • Partner with internal business customers to identify needs, elicit requirements and design solutions for data assets and reports
    • Learn and perform root cause analysis on identified issues that requires assistance in resolving
    • Manage the end-to-end delivery of data and reporting with timely and effective communication to all stakeholders
    • Work collaboratively with our technical team to ensure that all delivered statistical data meets or exceeds our customer expectations
    • Independently interacts with customer to define business needs and solve routine problems
    • Performs data analysis and data profiling on premium and loss statistical data
    • Possesses moderate business knowledge in assigned business area
    • Assists in maintaining data mapping documents and other data design artifacts that define business requirements and transformation rules
    • Contribute to a positive work environment by demonstrating cultural expectations and influencing others to reward collaboration, accountability, diversity, and continuous improvement

    Qualifications:

    • A self-motivated, accomplished professional with 3 plus years of insurance industry experience
    • Bachelor’s degree Data Science, Management Information Systems, Business Management or equivalent relevant experience
    • Strong critical thinking skills and analytical ability
    • Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and written
    • Experience with SQL scripting and knowledge of data management tools highly preferred
    • Proven ability to build and foster business relationships at all levels of the organization
    • Strong organization skills, demonstrated experience of being able to manage a variety of deliverables in order to meet tight deadlines and deliver results
    • Excellent time management skills with the ability to adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Propensities necessary for fostering a positive, winning team environment
    • Knowledge of Agile/Kanban methodologies

    Compensation

    The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

    $75,440 - $113,160
