The Hartford has an exciting and strategic Director level HR Business Partner role supporting our Technology Organization. The Hartford is pursuing an aggressive technology agenda of leveraging cloud, analytics, and artificial intelligence at scale to deliver digital experiences. The HRBP will be responsible for enabling this agenda through comprehensive workforce strategies including organizational design and effectiveness, culture, career development, skilling, engagement, brand and retention approaches. This role may be based in a Hartford office location or remotely within the United States.
Responsibilities:
Serve as critical thought partner and advisor to our Technology leaders and employees; demonstrate strong executive coaching & influencing skills to enhance organizational performance
Connect the dots between business objectives and The Hartford’s Technology agenda to devise and deliver impactful people solutions
Proactively facilitate, design and execute forward-looking people strategies including organizational design and effectiveness, workforce planning, career development, skilling, performance, engagement, succession, retention and other human capital initiatives
Champion and steward a culture of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion across the Technology organization and within the HR Function
Anticipate and lead scaled change required to evolve the technology workforce and its operating model
Leverage data and analytics for the identification of trends and opportunities to help inform people and business decisions
Participate as a leader or member of project teams focusing on both HR and cross-organizational initiatives
Qualifications:
A minimum of 10 years’ experience as a human resources business partner in a large corporate setting.
Strong working knowledge and experience supporting a Technology function and in an agile environment
Seasoned professional with proven experience:
Effectively consulting with, coaching, and influencing senior executives
Building and maintaining trusted relationships with the ability to influence business outcomes
Leveraging data analytics to support business case for change
Successfully leading cross-enterprise communities of practice strongly preferred
Developing and implementing effective organization structures; including job design
Creating talent management and talent development strategies
Successfully leading organizations through change management
Creating human capital strategies to align and support tangible business outcomes
Being proactive and taking initiative
Displaying excellent judgment
Managing projects - ability to create project plans, identify key stakeholders, define criteria for success, and effectively manage scope, teams, and deadlines
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$121,840 - $182,760
