Position summary

This role will be a member of The Agile Center of Enablement, which is accountable for leading the Agile transformation across the enterprise through sustained coaching models and various learning approaches.

The ideal candidate for the Lead Trainer - Agile Coach role is an experienced training facilitator and Agile coach.  This role provides enterprise level training and coaching to ensure understanding and adoption of Agile values, principles and practices across the organization.  This role is first and foremost a training and facilitation role (leveraging prior professional training, coaching and Agile practitioner experience), providing enterprise level training and coaching to ensure understanding, adoption, and sustainment of Agile values, principles and practices across the organization.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate highly engaging live / virtual training programs and workshops for various agile roles, frameworks & practices in a scaled environment
  • Incorporate a variety of formats (team exercises, simulations, role-playing, group discussions, polls, videos, etc.) into the content and training
  • Develop and adapt content to support various personas, lines of business, their experiences and their ultimate retention & application of knowledge and skills
  • Work collaboratively with subject matter experts and stakeholders to provide real-world scenarios and examples for course materials
  • Develop Train-the-Trainer materials and facilitate Train-the-Trainer programs for coaches and other agile practitioners
  • Provide thought leadership by participating and coaching in Communities of Practice, Lunch & Lunch forums, and other venues as needed to help ensure strategy and execution alignment
  • Partner with Learning Lead to grow Agile learning and development opportunities and cultivate a continuous learning culture
  • Partner with coaches to support stakeholder-specific training requests and line of business adoption/sustainability
  • Maintain close relationships across the Agile Center of Enablement to ensure alignment to the Agile Transformation and organizational goals
  • Collaborate with enterprise learning organizations to develop and deliver learning solutions aligned to needs and priorities
  • Coordinate or perform program management functions necessary to deliver, document and analyze success of training programs

Qualifications:

  • Strong facilitation, teaching, mentoring, coaching and interpersonal skills
  • Able to effectively communicate to all levels of the business, including Executive level
  • A strong "stage presence "; experience and ability to manage adult learners in remote, in-person or hybrid training setting
  • Naturally optimistic; someone who challenges the status quo appropriately and "finds a way " to get things done
  • Experience with remote collaboration tools; knowledge of emerging and progressive training techniques and strategies
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with multiple Agile frameworks including at scale; thorough understanding of Agile principles, can identify anti-patterns and work to correct those behaviors
  • Knowledge and experience across both Product Management and Product Delivery
  • Applicable certifications (Agile roles / frameworks, Coaching, Facilitation, etc.), SAFe SPC is preferred
  • Knowledge of Agile Engineering practices including Enterprise Architecture, DevOps (CI-CD, Test Driven Development, BDD, etc.) is preferred
  • Experience with ADKAR or other formal change management methodology is preferred

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$100,240 - $150,360
