The Hartford sets the standard for helping individuals reclaim their lives in the face of disability or personal crisis.

    • Accountable for the Group Benefits, Regional and Priority Accounts customer experience as well as profitable growth and persistency on the inforce book of business as defined by the Operating Plan. This would also include any national accounts that are assigned within the team.
    • Exceptional ability to drive employee engagement and build an inclusive environment and professional development opportunities for team members.
    • Drive consistency of all goals delivered to Customer Relationship Manager’s and Customer Relationship Associate’s as well as other required leadership messaging across their assigned territory.
    • Partners closely with the Regional Sales and Underwriting Directors on new case opportunities and the inforce book of business to successfully execute on the local market strategy in accordance with the Operating Plan (renewal pricing, pricing on add issue, renewal and book persistency).
    • Drives voluntary strategy for assigned field offices and ensure timely and accurate details and metrics are documented in Salesforce and Blueprint Plans for their team’s book of business.
    • Be active and vocal leaders representing the field/external perspective on any strategic initiative or operational project to which they are assigned, and be an active lead or participant at national sales meeting, regional meetings throughout the year and during Skype meetings.
    • Partners with the Regional Director of Relationship Management and cross-functional business leaders on all client facing imperatives to drive an exceptional customer experience within their territory.
    • May lead project or initiatives for Relationship Management.

    Qualifications
    • College degree or equivalent work.
    • Strong financial acumen is required.
    • 2-5 years of leadership experience in Group Benefits Account management or Underwriting preferred.
    • As a condition of your employment, you must obtain and maintain the Group Life & Health license.
    • Travel is required within assigned offices territory and for select regional and national events.
    • Possesses strong marketplace relationships.
    • Robust command of employee benefits products and services.
    • Understands organizational processes, methods and systems.
    • Takes Ownership – Takes immediate and independent action, suggests improvements, sets high standards for self and others and works hard to achieve them.
    • Customer & market segment orientation – conveys a commitment to providing responsive customer service.
    • Effective writing and communication skills.
    • Demonstrates effective team relationships across organizational lines.
    • Collaborates with other members of the organization to deliver results and communicate customer needs.

    Compensation

    The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

    $112,500-$142,700
