The Group Benefit Operations enrollment teams are responsible for supporting Online and Paper options for enrollment and evidence of insurability.  Our teams are responsible for driving process changes, delivering effective communication, initiatives to increase participation and provide solutions and service options to meet our customer needs.  Our teams partner with additional areas such as Sales/Service, Product Development, Technology, Marketing, Market Research and Compliance. 

Responsibilities: 

A Data Management Consultant is a specialist who works with customers and Third Party Administrators (TPAs) across all kinds of businesses and industries.  In this position you will be responsible for case configuration by setting up an online enrollment system to administer online enrollments and evidence of insurability.  You will be responsible for guiding our customers and TPAs through the enrollment and online evidence of insurability experience.  Strong customer service/account management skills and project management skills are essential.

  • Responsible for customer communications, conflict resolution, and day-to-day support related to enrollment.

  • Leads customer and TPA calls that are related to the implementation of the online enrollment or online evidence of insurability systems.

  • Knowledge of services and products provided in Hartford’s client offerings.

  • Provides regular internal and external communication to provide strong team representation and set proper customer expectations.

  • Understand Hartford Group Benefit enrollment and evidence of insurability services and effectively communicates all offerings to the customer.

  • Having a strong attention to detail is needed to conduct root cause analysis and effectively resolve any problems found during audits and testing of case configuration.

  • Following our established processes and procedures to create and configure cases based on client needs and other specifications.

  • Develop EDI output files as necessary utilizing carrier, vendor or internal system specifications.

  • Managing project plans and timelines to meet the customers’ expectations and go live date for enrollment events.

  • Configures online enrollment or evidence of insurability systems for case specific configurations, conducts testing, customer auditions and scripting.

  • Has experience with configuring and testing on Workday Studio and other Human Capital Management (HCM) platforms.

Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years Experience with Workday Configuration Platform and User Provisioning Integrations required

  • 3+ years Experience with Web Service Application Program Interfaces (APIs)

  • 3+ years Experience preferred but not required with Workday Studio including Business Process Framework, Configurable Security, Calculated Fields, Custom Reports and Dashboard Worklets

  • 3+ years Experience preferred but not required with Workday’s Human Capital Management suite-including Benefits Plans (Life and Disability) and Enrollment event knowledge

  • 3+ years Experience with preferred but not required DevOps and CI/CD toolset (Such as GitHub, Jenkins, etc.)

  • Ability to create and update CLAR files within Workday Studio

  • Engaged in Workday Community to understand trends, and upcoming feature updates

  • Workday HCM Pro Certified preferred

  • Account relationship experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience required

  • Group Benefits Life and Disability experience

  • Project management experience

  • Familiar with group enrollment processes

  • Experience with building/configuring other group online enrollment and TPA platforms

  • Technical experience in Excel and online systems is required

  • Experience analyzing and resolving technical issues

  • Provide ongoing support and collaboration with internal and external business partners

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$67,760 - $101,640
