The Strategic Sourcing & Real Estate (SSRE) department plays a critical role in The Hartford’s future by operating as a trusted business advisor with deep expertise that advances The Hartford’s business objectives and delivers exceptional customer experiences. SSRE is structured with three category management teams, Professional and Corporate Services, Technology & Outsourcing and Claims, complemented by sourcing delivery teams. We operate as advisors with our customers to positively impact business strategy, while optimizing the way we use third parties to meet enterprise and business unit objectives comprehensively.
Reporting to the AVP Sourcing & Delivery, the Sourcing Delivery Associate will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end contracting activities in accordance with the Category Strategy set by the Category Director.
This is a hybrid position and will require weekly office presence in our Hartford, CT location.
Responsibilities:
Operationalizing the category strategy
Reviewing, drafting & leading the negotiations for applicable contract documents for low to medium complex sourcing transactions.
Partner with legal, risk, and other support groups to ensure completion of acceptable contracts.
Document & manage savings reporting & capture process related to individual deals
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a corporate sourcing & procurement function with responsibility for sourcing and/or negotiating agreements of low to medium complexity.
Ability to review, analyze, draft and negotiate.
Strong individual time management, analytical and communication skills.
Focus on customer/client service.
Must be able to handle multiple projects and complete sourcing transactions within defined timelines.
Self-motivated with ability to work within agile team environment.
Bachelor’s degree in procurement, supply chain, business or related field or equivalent experience.
Has sufficient experience and applied knowledge to implement business strategies
Understands related functions
Applies management theory/principles in planning and organizing.
Contract-to-payment process experience
Customer service experience a plus
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
Provides technical direction to others
Integrates related processes/functions as needed
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$75,360 - $113,040
