The Sr. Administrative Assistant will support The Hartford’s Western Division Middle Market Underwriting Executives. This position holder will have excellent judgment and act with a high level of discretion while handling a breadth of situations with a sense of urgency. They will have expert level verbal communication, writing and editing, administrative, organizational, and strategic skills, with strong attention to detail.
Critical to success in this role is the ability to effectively juggle multiple competing priorities. The Sr. Administrative Assistant will bring a high degree of proactivity to their role, anticipating and addressing potential problems before they arise. They will bring an innate ability to build rapport with others and to build effective working relationships. They will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative support related tasks and will be able to work independently with little or no supervision. This position holder will interact with individuals at all levels in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient.
This role will follow a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office, 2 from home. The position can sit in either our Walnut Creek or San Francisco, CA offices, but there will be an expectation to be willing and able to travel to the unselected office (estimate of 1-2 times per month).

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of accomplishment as a senior level Administrative Assistant, preferably with a minimum of 5+ years of experience supporting at the Executive level. Bachelors or Associates degree is preferred, but not required.

Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$60,240 - $90,360
