    Position summary

    role provides exposure to the design and development of learning, working knowledge of learning technologies, and independent and team-based work. This position reports to the AVP, Hartford School of Insurance.

    WORK ARRANGEMENT

    This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in our Hartford, CT office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Manages pre and post activities for HSI training programs.

    • Handles event-related inquiries, enrolls participants, processes confirmation letters, and ensures participants receive appropriate pre- and post-work materials.

    • Coordinates the printing and distribution of all pre, post, and classroom materials with instructors and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

    • Processes and tracks financial transactions related to the training programs including the management of program costs, invoice payment and allocations.

    • Creates and maintains student rosters and databases, generates reports, and tabulates program evaluations.

    • Coordinates course and curriculum scheduling, logistics, and communications.

    • Oversees supply chain processes, including purchases, inventory management, warehouse space utilization, and delivery services.

    • Assists in developing and implementing new and revised departmental procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

    • Identifies opportunities to improve logistical operations and processes, ensuring continuous improvement.

    • Negotiates and contracts with vendors, establishing and maintaining strong business relationships.

    • Identifies the most cost-effective and suitable routes for conducting or supporting programs and events, adheres to budget constraints, manages procurement issues and requirements, and provides timely reconciliation of expense information to HSI management.

    • Continually strives to maximize the learners' experience in our courses and programs through a continuous improvement mindset and close attention to Voice of Customer feedback.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 5 years' coordination experience in a dynamic training environment, with a proven track record of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.

    • Detail Orientation is a must.

    • Exceptional organizational and forward-planning skills; ability to manage multiple events at various stages simultaneously, including the ability to anticipate and independently handle a variety of administrative functions.

    • Technical Knowledge: Advanced MS Word, Excel (formulas, functions, macros & pivots), and PowerPoint; Familiarity with a broad range of business management software (e.g., CRM, LMS) and databases.

    • Demonstrates superior problem solving, verbal and written communication skills and a strong customer focus.

    • Works independently on projects, which may require research, analysis of data and creation of reports. Must also work well in a team environment.

    • Able to deal professionally and effectively with employees and managers at all levels of the organization to ensure an outstanding experience with our programs and courses.

    • Bachelor's Degree is a plus, but not required.

    Compensation

    The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

    $63,200 - $94,800
