Asia Journalist

The Asia Journalist will write both magazine and online stories, and create videos and other digital media content. He/she will cover the Asian legal market, and build a network of law firms and in-house legal departments across the region. Ideally the person will have 3-5 years of experience in editorial in business or B2B/trade media.   

About the Role

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

• Magazine: Write monthly features, compile sections, come up with new story and section ideas.
• Online: Write breaking news and online features.
• Other content: Shooting and editing video, posting on social media and more

About You

To be successful in the role, you'll have:

• Minimum of three years of journalism experience in a fast-paced publishing environment
• Journalism degree or equivalent additional work experience
• Exposure to business writing; solid interviewing and writing skills, with experience in writing 1000-2000 word features
• Able to work under deadline pressure with quick turnaround times for writing and editing
• Some familiarity with digital content
• Familiarity with the business of law is a plus, but not critical
• Personable and able to build networks quickly
• A second language, such as Mandarin Chinese, Bahasa Melayu or Bahasa Indonesia, is extremely helpful but not mandatory
