Are you passionate about crafting an online personality that bridges the gap between machine and human? Do you possess the knowledge of VUI design, interaction design, visual design, and UX writing that collectively make up the world of conversation design? Do you have experience designing interaction chatbots to help answer technical support and customer service-related questions?
About the Role
As a Conversation Designer, you’ll have the following responsibilities:
Develop dialogs, flow diagrams, and prototypes to effectively communicate text and voice interactions and design ideas
Foster collaboration across multiple teams as you gather technical and product-specific information and translate that information into diagrams, scenarios, and conversation flows
Create detailed, comprehensive conversation and voice user interface (CUI and VUI) design specifications in collaboration with UXers and engineering
Assist in UI design, interactions, and visual tone development and advocate voice and conversation UI design best practices and guidelines to ensure a consistent brand experience for all end-users
Use data and research to evaluate our content’s impact and push for continuous improvement that shows real results
Present your work and articulate your approach to teammates, product owners, and other stakeholders
About You
You’re a fit for the role of Conversation Designer if you:
Have a bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), related field or equivalent experience
Technical knowledge of the fundamentals of conversational design demonstrated experience designing voice and interaction design for conversational agents and voice assistants
Experience with NLP and machine learning systems
Experience with qualitative usability testing is a plus
