Position summary

Primary Objective:

We are currently seeking a self-motivated Implementation Specialist.  The Implementation Specialist will work closely with our Indirect Tax Project Managers to implement our proprietary ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination software for clients.  You will be thoroughly trained on our ONESOURCE Indirect Tax software offering.

About the Role

In this opportunity as Implementation specialist, you will:

  • Interact with clients (tax and technology professionals)
  • Performs technical roles on small to medium projects led by a Sr. Implementation Consultant, or Project Manager.
  • Engage with other key teams within Thomson Reuters as appropriate to deliver end to end Indirect Tax solutions 
  • Prepare and execute test scripts and test cases
  • Assist Project team to ensure all Indirect tax related requirements are met
  • Taught to explain our proprietary ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination product as it relates to issues/problems and solutions to Tax & technical staff
  • Ensure all Indirect tax related requirements are met
  • Work with clients to translate their tax policy into the software solutions
  • Completes tasks with limited supervision

About You

You’re a fit for the role of Implementation Specialist if your background includes:

  • Comfortable talking with clients and how to work with them to understand problems and solutions.

  • Must have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment

  • Proficient in working with computers and standard business software like Microsoft Office

  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently

  • Creative problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work in a diverse work environment

  • Less than 20% travel

  • Degree in Business, Computer Science, Marketing preferred.  Or experience equal to the position requirements.
