Position summary

The Research Support Assistant plays a supporting role in the Interviewing Team within the Market Insights and Thought Leadership division of Thomson Reuters. Working on our Flagship project, you will play a supporting role, assisting the Interviewing Team and playing an integral part in our overall success. 

Primarily focusing on sample management, allocation, and Salesforce developments within the team, you will work closely with the In-house CRM and Fieldwork Manager to become a standalone Sample support lead for the Interviewing Team and our external agencies. There will be opportunity to develop specialized research, data and Salesforce CRM Skills.; to progress within our team and more broadly across Thomson Reuters.

This is a remote role – Working with a Global team of members in the UK and USA.

About the Role

In this opportunity as Research Support Assistant you will:

  • Ensure good understanding of all quotas, and the ratio of contacts to interviews needed to provide a sufficient level for all teams.
  • Ensuring that the internal interviewing team and the external interviewing agencies have sufficient sample while proactively checking sample levels and building / buying sample where needed
  •  Work with external agencies to ensure that sample is being used in an efficient manner
  • Proactively check with agencies on sample level and provide additional sample where needed in a timely manner and within internal SLAs.
  • Working closely with the CRM Admin Lead, ensuring that sample is effectively sourced and input into the database for use and providing support to the CRM Admin Lead on custom projects
  • Offering feedback where appropriate, related to sample management practices of individuals and teams
  • Building reports and dashboards where appropriate for use across research projects
  • Supporting CRM Admin Lead with Analytics user access and updates

About You

You’re a fit for the role of Research Support Assistant if your background includes:

  • Database management – Salesforce experience preferred
  • Experience in supporting and/or working part of a remote team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel
  • History of working with a globally distributed team
  • Strong understanding of sample management and technical expertise

Preferred Experience

  • Critical thinking skills that allow for creative problem solving
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience in fast-paced agile product development environments
