Position summary

About the Role

As an API (Application Program Interface) Technical Consultant – you will work closely with the Sales Specialist team to engage prospects in various stages of the pre and post sales cycle to assist in the technical requirements gathering, technical scoping, integration solution design, and technical solution presentation involving API integrations.

  • Brings a mix of technical, product, content, data science and customer workflow expertise to collaboratively engage prospects in the solution sales cycle (e.g clarification, specification, documentation, solution technical design, proposal development and bidding)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in support of technical proposal pitches and overall client communication
  • Has experience working on products in the areas of Governance Risk and Compliance, Operational Risk, Regulatory Change management, and/ or enterprise risk assessment
  • Become the go to person within the region for clarifications, troubleshooting and feedback aggregation on all API matter involving the assigned product(s)
  • Executes on multiple prospect/ customer implementation projects in parallel

About You

You’ll be a good fit if you have:

  • Technical solutions sales expert with a broad spectrum of experience working with enterprise accounts. 5+ years of experience in supporting enterprise software sale in the governance, risk and compliance space
  • Strong professional work ethic and ability to deliver results with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional presentation, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Has worked on and positively contributed to complex global technical projects
  • Is intellectually curious and understands the responsibility of continuous learning

Technical knowledge required

  • Robust technical experience backed up with deep understanding of troubleshooting REST API queries and advanced API debugging skills
  • Good knowledge of HTTP methods and HTTP requests of the REST API
  • Experience working in project involving integrating an API into CRM systems / other platforms
  • Experience of validating a client’s API development work
  • Good Knowledge of Postman or similar API troubleshooting application
  • API Authentication methods
  • Basic knowledge of JSON and programming languages like python, JAVA, C#, C++ and node.js
  • Basic knowledge of Visual Studio/Eclipse
  • Good understanding on middleware tools
  • Good code readability and debugging skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch /Splunk/Grafana Dashboards
  • Demonstrable, advanced technical problem solving skills of complex issues, and follow-through actions including documenting and sharing solutions
  • Experience of providing technical support to clients within a regulated or financial services sector
  • Excellent, well-developed interpersonal, client-facing skills; written and oral
  • Professional level of spoken and written English
