Position summary

The Sales Development / Program Manager is an active member of the Tax and Legal sales management team within the CORPORATES EUROPE business unit. They will develop and refine sales execution strategies to drive growth. The SDM will also be responsible for defining and implementing processes to increase sales efficiency and for collecting and analyzing data to develop insights to improve sales effectiveness. The SDM will work closely with Finance, Sales Operations, Data Analytics and Marketing to deliver on these business objectives.

The SDM will need a thorough knowledge of sales processes for software and content solutions, experience of managing execution of similar sales functions and exceptional skills in data collection and data analysis with the ability to translate findings into actionable deliverables. The SDM will also need a sound understanding of each of the solutions in the portfolio and the market and target personas. 

About the Role:

  • Develops and implements processes to execute high-volume sales activity for the Tax and Legal portfolios, and specifically the revenue capture activities associated with subscription products.

  • Develop processes for and manages execution of inside-sales activity (e.g. lead generation, Outreach/HVS sequences).

  • Vigorously pursues the identification of opportunities to increase sales volume for the individual products and to drive growth within each product line.

  • Has a focus on driving new sales using the adoption of digital tools.

  • Collaborates with Solutions Leads and Marketing functions to design and execute cross-territory campaigns to drive specific sales initiatives and achieve results.

  • Has an analytical mindset to drive data driven decisions. Understands how to capture the addressable market for TR products and ensure the data elements that predict success are available in the CRM system to be mined for future success. Able to monitor the effectiveness of sales plans and efforts and to produce reporting on these metrics to increase visibility for all stakeholders.

  • Works at all levels – business unit, department, solution, product, and individual sales territory – to align planning and forecasting with business goals.

  • Builds a team of SDRs to supplement data, execute sales campaigns and make appointment for Sales Specialists to secure ongoing revenue for TR. Drives productivity within that team to enable future expansion of the Sales Specialist team.

  • Works closely with Sales Directors and colleagues in Finance and Commercial Excellence in annual planning cycles for balancing territories, allocating quotas, comp planning, forecasting and fiscal plan estimates / updates.

Required Experience and Skills 

  • Minimum 8 years working experience in a fast-paced, complex B2B SaaS sales environment, working as a team lead or management role with responsibility for operations or volume / inside sales.

  • Proven track record of exceeding against quota and/or other performance metrics and working cross-functionally to achieve sales objectives and targets.

  • Proven outbound “hunter” sales mentality with prospecting best practices expertise 

  • Must demonstrate exceptional analytical skills, and a passion for the insights that result from those analyses, together with a strong understanding of the data and collection processes needed to fuel that analysis.  

  • Excellent communication skills, and especially an ability to translate analysis of complex information and data into actionable deliverables and strategies.

  • Expert in use of sales automation and analytics tech – experience with Salesforce, Advanced Excel, Einstein Analytics, Tableau, Gainsight, Outreach, HVS, Consensus, Seismic or similar technologies as must.
