Position summary

We're hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager for Inbound, Global Trade Management, Europe!

The Senior Product Marketing Manager – Global Trade, Europe will predominantly be responsible for driving the tactical and strategic direction of the Global Trade solution suite in the European market. They will accelerate business performance by identifying and delivering on growth initiatives, leading the go-to-market initiatives, contribute to defining global pricing & packaging, and be an active thought leader in the industry. The role involves working closely with the sales, marketing, product management, technology and client services functions of the business to drive value propositions that differentiate Thomson Reuters in the market.

The successful candidate will have significant knowledge & experience of the global trade management and customs domains. They will ensure that the ‘voice of the customer’ and the ‘voice of the market’ is influencing product development and go-to-market plans by channeling back feedback, market dynamics and competitive intelligence.

Key Responsibilities within Role:

Value Proposition:

  • Take accountability for defining and delivering a compelling customer proposition to the European market. Serve as voice of the customer and interpret and translate the needs of the customer into propositions, working with product management, sales, services, marketing, other proposition and segment/sub-segment teams
  • Identify new opportunities for growth (e.g. combined proposition with other tax solutions, expansion in new territories in Europe, partnerships, sector-specific propositions) and own market analysis, business case and ‘go to market’ programs.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to create & evolve messaging, enable Sales to articulate the value propositions, and increase market awareness
  • Represent Thomson Reuters in the market to grow brand & individual recognition as subject matter experts and industry leaders, e.g. presenting at conferences and coordinating thought leadership activities with Marketing
  • Work closely with Product Marketing peers in the US to ensure that Europe’s requirements are strongly represented and the European Product Marketing strategy is aligned globally.
  • Work with Product, Services and Account Management to plan & execute successful migration of legacy products to new platform
  • Drive innovation and differentiation across the group of products

Customer:

  • Build a comprehensive understanding of client and market needs, to gather and prioritize client, prospect and market feedback
  • Actively participate in key customer meetings, pitches, and negotiations
  • Establish a strong customer community to collect feedback and increase client loyalty
  • Own Customer Excellence for the group of products, working with other teams to improve the overall customer experience

Skills & Competencies Required:

  • Experience working in enterprise software with demonstrable experience of driving business growth & an understanding of how technology can transform business operations (the “value-add”)
  • Customer-centric; able to represent the customers’ perspective and maintain strong client relationships; and strong commercial acumen with an ability to ‘think like a customer’
  • Experience of successfully managing large business projects
  • Ability to facilitate and present formal presentations at the executive level
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills for liaison with external customers and internal staff at all levels
  • Highly motivated with ability to drive results
  • Experience in information and software solutions
  • Experience working in and around global trade management, customs, or supply chain
