As a Senior Project Manager in Thomson Reuters Labs, you will be part of a global interdisciplinary team of experts. We hire specialists across a variety of AI research areas, as well as Engineering and Design, to drive the company’s digital transformation and innovation.
We are looking for a motivated and self-driven Senior Project Manager to join our growing team of scientists, designers and engineers. You will be part of a team that builds ground-breaking solutions and makes significant advancements to products across Thomson Reuters that empower our customers with critical information and inform the way forward.
About the role:
In this opportunity as Senior Project Manager you will:
Develop or assist in developing business cases for large projects with significant impact to company goals.
Negotiate and resolve conflicting change requests and frequently changing priorities across customers and projects
Manage communication throughout the project to all stakeholders, providing updates on scope, timelines and deployments.
Serve as primary point of contact on project and support questions
Produce all typical project documentation - detailed project plans, project estimates, resource plans and status reports
Provide project leadership, work direction and feedback to the project leads, project managers and teams
Manage projects within standard project management methodologies to time, quality and budget
Establish best practices (including standards and process)
Coach and train others on project management skills and methodologies (PM Best Practices)
Coordinate work across teams in the organization to achieve project deliverables and goals
Identify, assess and mitigate risks to the success of the project
Serve as the project issue escalation point
Actively partner in the program management process, providing high-level scoping, estimating and planning of related initiatives
Champion Labs’ “Ways of Working” to ensure project teams complete and have required documentation and support
Support the PMO, as needed, with project management administrative tasks such as analysis and reporting of project metrics, backlog/financial forecast, milestone reporting, resource forecasting, status, and other administrative tasks as assigned by manager

About You:
You’re a fit for the role of Senior Project Manager if you have:
Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree or MBA preferred
PMP or AMP certification preferred or thorough knowledge and demonstrated execution of project management methodology including documentation
5+ years’ of experience in one or more of the following areas: project management, accounting, legal industry, or consulting
Experience in one or more of the following tools: Azure DevOps (ADO), JIRA, MS Project, MS PowerBI, Advanced Excel
Knowledge and/or experience in leading technology projects that were developed using the Agile methodology
Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence actions/decisions of others.
Strong conflict resolution, negotiating and influencing skills
Ability to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment remaining agile while driving for clarity and results when requirements are initially unclear and demands upon the team may be in conflict
Demonstrated achievements in planning, directing and implementing complex projects on time, within budget, and with desired functionality
Experience managing and mitigating the project risks and impact
Competency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other MS products
