The Legal & Research Technology in Bangalore provides systems development and support for the content processing needs of WestLaw & Practical Law. The group oversees and executes on a wide range of project types, ranging from cost saving infrastructure to revenue driving product development initiatives. This group is involved in developing systems which helps in creating content that is developed by Legal experts and editors and effectively used by Legal Professionals like business lawyers, and Lawfirms in improving their user experience. We are looking for a highly motivated, innovative and detailed oriented individual who will make an impact on a large-scale, enterprise-wide initiative to serve as a Senior Software Engineer on this team.
We are looking for an ASP.NET MVC developer with 5-8 yrs of experience and will be able to develop new and support existing applications. The main scope of work will include everything from back-end to client-side code, using optimal and efficient technologies, frameworks, and patterns. The primary responsibilities will be to design and develop the applications. Therefore, it’s essential that candidate is skilled at problem solving, solution design, and high-quality coding.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills. They must also possess effective oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills. A history of meeting aggressive deadlines in uncertain environments and maintaining strong customer relationships are key selection criteria.
Essential Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Delivering a high-quality application
Integrating with front-end developers if required
Ensuring a required level of performance
Writing test-backed server-side code
Analyzing requirements and designing new functionality
Supporting and fixing existing functionality
REQUIREMENTS:
Education
A four-year degree in computer science or a related field is required. Graduate training in business or technology is a plus, but not required.
Knowledge and Skills
Should be flexible, proactive, self-motivated enough to learn new technologies quickly and lead the team by helping and grooming them technically.
Technical knowledge should include hands-on design and development of enterprise class applications including analysis design, and implementation and testing along with experience with trouble shooting and maintenance activities.
Must be able to effectively balance and prioritize multiple projects and tasks concurrently
Candidates should possess:
Full stack .Net Developer with Proficiency in C#.Net
Experience using .NET Framework 4+ and Core
Experience in both UI and Services
Experience in developing ASP.NET MVC applications
Understanding of HTML, JS, and CSS
Restful services Development and Microservices
Knowing the Ribbon control would be added advantage
Understanding and writing new unit test cases.
Preferred or Desired Qualifications
Knowledge of Entity Framework 6.* | Enterprise Libraries | ADO.NET
Proficient knowledge in Relational Database
Database design including indexes and data integrity
Mandatory experience with the client-side framework jQuery | Angular | Bootstrap
