Sr Data Engineer

Key Skills for the role

• Strong skills in querying languages like SQL and relational databases is required

• 5+ years’ experience in data engineering, database administration, or similar data centric disciplines

• Experience using Alteryx, AWS Glue, AWS DataBrew, dbt or similar ETL and data blending solutions

• Data modelling knowledge of various schemas like snowflake and star

• Experience using on-prem data warehouse solutions such as Oracle or SQL Server or Cloud based solutions such as Snowflake or Redshift

• Proven ability to build stored procedures, trigger functions and other solutions when needed

• Experience migrating data from on-premises services to the cloud

• Has built data pipelines and other custom automated solutions to speed the ingestion, analysis, and visualization of large volumes of data

• Extensive knowledge building ETL workflows, database design, and query optimization

• Experience using Amazon Web Services (S3, Glue, Athena, Quicksight, etc.)

• Has knowledge of a scripting language like Python

• Works well within a team and collaborates with colleagues across domains and geographies

• Excellent oral, written, and visual communication skills

• Has a demonstrable ability to assimilate new information thoroughly and quickly

• Strong logical and scientific approach to problem-solving

• Can articulate complex results in a simple and concise manner to all levels within the organization

Experience and Qualification

• Total 5+ Years experience
• 3+ specifically in data engineering role. Proficiency in SQL. Cloud based engineering experience (AWS, Azure, Google), and working knowledge to python.
