Sr Director - Strategy and Business Operations

In this role you will drive transformation within Legal Tech spanning cloud adoption and other modernization initiatives, people change programmes and strategy implementation. The purpose of this role is to work alongside the Legal Tech Engineering leadership team to affect a step change in division capabilities, enabling Thomson Reuters to create new sources of value for our customers.

About the Role

In this opportunity as the Sr Director of Strategy and Business Operations you will:

• Participate in the formulation of the Legal Tech Engineering departments transformation strategy plans, aligned to Product Strategy & Vision and TR Engineering Principles
• Devise transformation execution plans and facilitate rollout across all engineering teams in the department
• Form connections with other parts of TR to facilitate collaboration on transformation initiatives
• Collect and analyze information on strategic initiatives and formulate recommendations to:
  • Identify and address risks and issues
  • Make strategic pivots to achieve intended outcomes
  • Institute continuous improvement
• Support the department Engineering leaders to deliver TR and PE wide initiatives within the department

About You

You’re a fit for the role of Snr Director of Strategy and Business Operations if your background includes:

• 15+ years in Engineering leadership roles
• 10+ years delivering transformation programmes in Enterprise software divisions
• 10+ years delivering strategic change programmes
• 5+ years delivering modernization programmes
• Strong financial acumen and ability to formulate transformation business cases
• Bachelors degree in Information Systems/Computer Science or related qualifications
• Preferably some training in Engineering and Business Strategy
• Preferably SaaS background in addition to Enterprise software
