Summary of Position

Thomson Reuters has a long history of providing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) add-on solutions to clients in many industries.

 You will provide customers with sales tax implementation and functional configuration expertise to connect our products with business applications.

You will work with the project manager to define customer business requirements and convert them into robust and flexible solutions. You will be expected to guide customers through initial installation and upgrades, drive application configurations, provide user training/knowledge transfer, and write functional documentation. This position is unique as you will be exposed to customers from different industries, each with unique business requirements and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Ability to work closely with technical staff to define and document user requirements and functional specifications.
• Serve as a primary interface with client tax professionals.
• Set-up, organise and lead business and user requirements sessions and formulate into design/solution documentation.
• Assist in the analysis and delivery of Microsoft D365 implementations that reflect an in-depth understanding of the client’s tax requirements and compliance process.
• Engagement with other Thomson Reuters teams as appropriate to deliver end to end Indirect Tax solutions 
• Ensure all Indirect tax related requirements are met
• Execute personal working within a controlled project management environment
• Work with Pre-sales on prospects and bid development
• Work with functional & technical colleagues to deliver the implementation

Requirements

• Must have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

• Must have technical experience implementing Microsoft D365 and/or ISV solutions

• Must be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues caused when multiple ISV-solutions are installed

• Must be skilled in troubleshooting and resolving D365 functional system issues

• Should have experience with process analysis, design, mapping, and re-engineering

• Should have experience with process/software gap analysis and resolution

• Knowledge of APIs, Webservices (SOAP & REST), xml

• Up to 10% of travel is expected.

• Fluent in English

• Tax and Financial

  • Experience configuring transaction taxes and related master data within D365
  • Accounting/Financial work experience or degree is highly desirable

• Technical

  • Ability to configure/modify existing integration software and integrate software applications and modules in accordance with agreed upon specifications, created in partnership with others
  • Experience with debugging tools, Visual Studio’s add-ins related to D365 development.
  • Intermediate understanding of D365 architecture (models, classes, objects, and relations).
  • Microsoft D365 Functional Certification Preferred
  • Microsoft .NET Framework
  • C# and/or VB.NET

Education Required

• Higher Education Degree or Diploma – Finance, Accounting or Computer Science preferred
