Technical Lead

Are you passionate about the chance to bring your extensive technical experience to lead the development team through complex, full life cycle implementation in a world-class company? The Digital Technology team is looking to add a strong Technical Lead to a well-established global digital team. This position requires someone who is a passionate learner, an independent thinker, works well collaboratively across multiple disciplines, and is comfortable working with a variety of people and technology stacks. This is a chance to get in and make an immediate impact transforming the way our customers interact with us digitally as we shape the next generation of an enterprise-wide Unified Experience. Your work will be in the space of Design and Development of applications including integration and will be critical to the delivery of digital solutions to our customers all over the world and teams across the digital organization.

About the Role

As a Technical Delivery Lead, you will: 

  • Design and Implement – applications by understanding business needs, defining solution architecture/design, conducting functional validation, and executing full sprint cycle from design through release
  • Be a Team Player and Leader – work in a collaborative team-oriented environment, share information, value diverse ideas, interact with the customer, partner with cross-functional and remote teams, lead the delivery of the technical solution and team
  • Be Curious & Innovative – continuously update yourself with next-generation technology, development tools, and contribute to process development practices
  • Be an Agile Person – with a strong sense of urgency and a desire to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment to deliver solutions against strict timelines, drive backlog planning and scrums
  • Be an Effective Communicator – articulate complex technical issues, and share ideas, participate in peer-reviews/design review boards, and exhibit strong listening skills
  • Take Ownership – responsible for E2E delivery, establish estimates from delivery/architecture, lead geographically distributed teams, create and maintain project documentation, monitor risks/mitigation strategies with stakeholders, and strive for improving the efficiency of the solutions

About You

You’re a fit for the role of Technical Delivery Lead if you have:

Basic qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in the field of Business Systems and IT including experience with design, development, and integration of applications, services, data, and processes
  • 2+ years of experience in a technical leadership role with a strong focus on backend design and development including design and security patterns  
  • Experience with cloud (preference to AWS) and/or on-premises using API management tools like Salesforce
  • Experience with web services, microservices, XML/HTTP, REST HTML, servlets, APIs, and SOA
  • Strong knowledge of best practices for both performance and security
  • Be able to collaborate with various cross-functional teams, internal/external technical experts, Architects, other Technical Leads, Systems Analysts, and 3rd parties to drive technical solutions
  • Work closely with the Engineers and Product teams to deliver the solution, identify and recommend ways to standardize configuration and move towards a generic platform
  • Be able to provide technical expertise and complete peer code reviews to team members in a timely manner to ensure code standards, completeness, cleanliness, and quality
  • Establish best practices in backend design, development, and code quality
  • Knowledge of the Agile process and experience working in an Agile environment

Preferred skills:

  • Experience with backend systems such as Conga, Apttus or SAP is preferred
  • Familiar with UI frameworks and technologies such as Adobe AEM, ReactJS, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • eCommerce knowledge with a focus on customer acquisition, retention and renewals, product trials, and commerce transactions
  • Familiar with technical estimation techniques and practices
