    Position summary

    We are hiring Press Operators for our printing plant team in Eagan, Minnesota. As a #2 Press Operator, you will be responsible for working as a Mid-Level Operator on our Core Publishing Solutions team. You will be operating state of the art offset and digital web presses. For this role, you would also be eligible for $4,000 in bonuses your first year. A $2,000 signing bonus upon being in the role for 90 days, another $1,000 bonus at 6 months and a final $1,000 bonus at 12 months (excludes internal employees). We have also increased the shift differential for 2nd shift to $4 per hour. Hours of Work – Eagan, Minnesota 2nd shift – 2:30 pm – 10:30 pm Occasional overtime up to 4 hours per day and occasional weekend shifts About the Role In this opportunity as a #2 Press Operator, you will be responsible for: Reviewing job specifications for material and set-up requirements Performing or delegating set-up tasks Monitoring the equipment and product through the job run to ensure a high-quality product Performing moderately complex trouble-shooting related to product or equipment Communicating effectively during shift and at shift hand-off Evaluating mechanical condition of equipment, completing preventive maintenance; involving Maintenance as needed Using computer-based workflow applications to manage files Accurately documenting activities on Tier Boards and in relevant systems (MII, SAP), i.e., material usage, equipment issues, etc Accurately marking, verifying, and tagging loads correctly to ensure inventory accuracy Providing work direction to others, whether direct crew or other individuals in the workstream Actively participating in company safety programs and contributing to a safe culture Performing training as needed Meeting or exceeding established quality and productivity standards utilizing standard work procedures Implementing, performing and sustaining housekeeping procedures to maintain work area and equipment Participating in project teams as needed. Recommending and implementing process improvements Filling in for other Operators as needed including covering absences or breaks About You You’re a fit for the role of #2 Press Operator if your background includes: Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher.
