The Content Developer will join the team responsible for the analysis, definition, design, construction, testing, installation, maintenance and modification of properly engineered information systems, containing software as the major component, to meet agreed business needs. The Content Developer will focus on development of the ONESOURCE Indirect Tax software and associated data collection and automation applications, working with various development and technical teams and liaising with customer support and implementation teams. About the Role In this role as a Content Developer you will: Take part in day-to-day activities that facilitate and automate the delivery of high quality Indirect Tax content, managing the deployment of script and tool upgrades, enhancements, and fixes to agreed deadlines Coordinate with the research team to ensure that delivery and target dates are met for each project Evaluate existing content creation and testing processes and drive innovation by providing recommendations for automation Develop requirements and attain tax research team sign off for large projects Learn and develop technical skills required to work effective with Python, PL/SQL and geodatabases Clearly document all projects/tools/scripts developed Contribute to the testing of tax content changes for quality assurance Develop training materials for non-technical resources to use; Provide support and input to tax research management and teams Understand functional and non-functional requirements from tax research stakeholders to facilitate the effective and efficient delivery of top quality content Review research team and customer feedback and requests. Assessing feasibility, effort, client specific customization vs. productized and road mapped feature About You You’re a fit for the role of Content Developer, if your background includes: Degree in a computer science or equivalent work experience A record of successful delivery of software projects as an individual and/or team leader on time and on budget Minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical role Ability to automate processes using Python, SQL, and REST services a plus Strong understanding of database concepts (data types, queries, filters, table design) Good people and communication skills to explain project goals and inspire support for them Although not required, experience in Indirect tax, ERP and/or GIS is a distinct advantage Although not required, exposure to and understanding of geospatial concepts and spatial analysis techniques a plus What’s in it For You? The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following (New York City, San Francisco, Culver City). The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $77,000 - $143,000. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states (CA, CO, CT, NV, WA) and/or remote. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $70,000 - $130,000. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
