What You’ll Do: As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll get the opportunity to work with a variety of technologies, anchoring a small team across a complex network including: Maintaining, upgrading, configuring, and securing server, container, storage and networking infrastructure in a mixed cloud/on-prem, Linux/Windows, VMware/AWS environment Automating infrastructure tasks Ensuring compliance to security guidelines (SOC2, STIG, NIST, etc.) Troubleshooting performance issues Updating documentation and facilitating cross-training Coordinating with the rest of the IT team on infrastructure initiatives Learning new technologies and solutions as needed Performing after-hours maintenance and support as needed About You: You’re a good fit for the role of DevOps Engineer if you meet these requirements: US Citizen able to acquire and maintain a Security Clearance at the SECRET level or higher Bachelor’s degree in computer-related field or equivalent experience Minimum of five years’ IT infrastructure experience Ready and willing to take the initiative to learn new skills (always something new in this field) We’ll also need you to have experience with: (We know it’s a long list, so if you know some/most of it, we’d love to help you learn the rest, must be ready and willing to ramp up new skills) Required Skills Strong Linux background Experience with container orchestration platforms (such as Kubernetes) and container engines and runtimes (such as Docker) Experience with automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible Experience troubleshooting multi-layered technical problems relating to DNS, certificates, and authentication/authorization issues Experience deploying web applications in an enterprise/production environment Experience with AWS and familiarity with common AWS service offerings CI/CD experience (such as GitHub/Jenkins) Able to handle tickets and create easy to follow documentation Able to follow documented procedures with attention to detail Able to manage time and resources to deliver on projects Excellent customer service and communication skills Bonus Skills Strong security background including endpoint and network firewalls, antimalware software, security baselines (STIG, CIS, etc.), application allow-listing VMware vSphere virtualization suite Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory Familiarity with Microsoft Cloud offerings What’s in it For You? Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states (CA, CO, CT, NV, WA) and/or remote. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $95,900 - $178,100. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
