About the role: In this role as Director to lead our Business Architecture team, part of Operations & Technology, you will: Lead the design of key enterprise value streams, establishing the agreed target state that TR will migrate to as it transforms to a content driven technology company. You will support the Chair of the Business Design Authority to present key design decisions to members of the Executive Leadership Team and influence the future shape of the business. Lead Service Design for new digital and omni-channel customer journeys, working closely with colleagues across TR Change, Digital and Technology, enabling TR to better serve customers and access new customer groups. You will play a lead role applying a holistic, customer-centric approach and capturing business processes and customer impact. Translate strategy into execution: define and adapt the implementation approach required by Thomson Reuters to achieve its business strategy. You will help to build the Service Design methodology that is agnostic of any particular product or segment and that can be extended across the entire enterprise. Structure the enterprise: align Thomson Reuters’ strategic goals and objectives with decisions regarding products, processes, suppliers, systems, information, organization and locations. You will work to develop an integrated view of the enterprise using a repeatable approach, logical framework and applicable industry standards. Interact across technology and business: work closely with both the Product and Technology teams to ensure that there is a common understanding of business processes and a consistent application of frameworks and taxonomies across the teams. Apply E2E business process design: apply end-to-end Service Design thinking and methodology to create quality and seamless customer experiences. You will use Service Design to put the customer first in the delivery of new digital enhancements being rolled out across Thomson Reuters products. Identify opportunities and benefits: identity and quantify opportunities for Thomson Reuters to achieve its strategy of becoming a simpler, more integrated and agile company, making appropriate comparisons to market leading practices. Support change: use your understanding of business processes and customer experience to help inform the scope of existing change initiatives and ensure the proposed solutions align. Use the skills Establish frameworks and tools: define frameworks and utilize tools that set the standard for how business architecture is defined and communicated in the organization. Ensure that artefacts are easily accessible to colleagues across the organization with appropriate change control. Build and lead a Community of Practice: engage colleagues from the across the organization to build interest and advocacy of business architecture. Encourage use of the collateral created and utilization of the methods. Drive an aspiration to be market leading in the use of business architecture to create value for the organization. Effectively build senior stakeholder relationships: collaborate and engage with external and internal stakeholders including business leaders, product owners, program managers to define the transformation roadmap. Act as point of contact in resolving stakeholder issues. About you: To be considered for the role of Director, Business Architecture, you will need to have: 15+ years of hands-on experience and deep knowledge of Business Transformation, with a focus on digitization, business process design, customer experience, Service Design and/or Target Operating Model design. Experience leading the development of end to end or ‘front to back’ omni-channel customer journeys and associated business processes Confidence to engage and influence c-suite leaders The ability to work effectively at different levels from enterprise wide to specific segments or geographies. The ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies. An enterprise-wide understanding of Thomson Reuters or similar businesses with an appreciation for strategy, processes and capabilities, enabling technologies, and organization design. The ability to apply architectural principles to business solutions. The ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings and articulate their collective relevance to the organization and to high-priority business issues. Experience using model-based representations that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate or disaggregate complex and conflicting information about the business. The ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture. Extensive experience planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives. Experience in business process design and modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations. The ability to act as liaison conveying information needs of the business to IT and data constraints to the business; applies equal conveyance regarding business strategy and IT strategy, business processes and workflow automation, business initiatives and IT initiatives, and benefit realization and service delivery What’s in it For You?
