Job Description: Environment and Deployment Manager We are currently seeking an Environment and Deployment Manager for our Commercial Platforms who possesses a strong technical background and relevant experience, as well as exceptional business acumen, to join our Commercial Engineering organization. As a member of our small and dynamic Environment & Deployment team, you will work closely with the release and service management teams, technology peers, and business partners to oversee the implementation of our test environment and test data management strategy, orchestrate our production release deployment, and facilitate our change process governance. As part of the Commercial Engineering organization, you will be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, energetic, and high-performing team at the heart of the Thomson Reuters transformation to developing modernized applications and services. This group is nimble, creative and shapes our technology roadmap. This role will be instrumental to enabling the current and future world of the digital experience at Thomson Reuters. You will be challenged with identifying innovative ideas and proof-of-concept solutions to delivery against existing and future needs of our customers. The role will report to the Director, Agile Release Management - Commercial Platform and work across the application and platform engineering teams to ensure a consistently reliable experience for our customers. Key Responsibilities: Implement and enforce test environment strategy to support the delivery of products and services Collaborate with delivery teams to identify and address any gaps in system integration and test data availability Oversight and coordination of system refreshes (SAP, SFDC, BW, EDW, …). Process improvements Promote automated capabilities and ensure all infrastructure and application services follow industry best practice standards Contribute to infrastructure planning and determine current and future enterprise infrastructure needs, including cloud hosting forecasts Promote a stable and secure environment and leverage incident management to establish accountability and feedback loops into delivery teams Communicate with vendors and suppliers for software acquisition and renewals Implement best practices for technology architecture and cost management Support bi-monthly release cadence deployment in production (Deployment orchestration, CAB, stakeholder communication) Key Qualifications: 5+ years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience Good knowledge of software development practices, concepts, and technology Strong understanding of SRE and DevOps principles as well as ITIL service management processes Experience managing enterprise platforms (SAP, SFDC, AEM, Informatica, Boomi) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and pivot based on changing priorities Creative out of the box thinking Recommends or automates approaches to streamline and integrate technological processes and/or systems to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness Supports the management of specific project deliverables and outcomes Do you want to be part of a team helping re-invent the way knowledge professionals work?
