    Position summary

    Thomson Reuters is a global enterprise Company, requiring HR to work together in a cohesive and collaborative manner to drive the strategic people agenda. The HR Coordinator’s key areas of responsibility include supporting the overall Thomson Reuters People Function objectives aligned to the US HR Regional organization. The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing local HR assistance to our Global Print manufacturing employee population and partners closely the Global Print (Core Publishing Solutions) Leadership, the Regional HR Contact, and the HR Business Partner. The HR Coordinator is a member of the US Regional Team and maintains additional responsibilities to support US Regional Activities and the Employee Relations Team. About the Role In this opportunity as an HR Coordinator, you will: Be required to be in the office at least 2-3 days a week to provide in-person support to the manufacturing employee population and will be able to work remotely for the remainder of the week. Provide HR support to the manufacturing (CPS) employee population in answering questions, which includes directing employees to the right resources, often by walk-ins and responding to messages. (Accessibility is key for the manufacturing population as they have limited computer access and the inability to stay on hold for phone calls to get common questions answered through the HR Service Center). Assist in providing general benefit information and directing employees to the appropriate forms for benefits and pension (including providing instructions to how best to leverage the resources). Provide informal leadership to the CPS Administrative Coordinators on initiating actions in Workday, including guidance on timekeeping and payroll questions. Coordinates with the team to ensure early payroll deadlines are met. Aggregate and process Special Pay Requests for each payroll (on the cycle payroll input template) and submit to the HR Service Center. Administer monthly staff and service anniversary reports for the CPS leadership. Create demographic reports upon request. Run reports and help to provide updates to Regional HR Contact for planned retirement forecasting. Compose and submit the HR page for the CPS Messenger (monthly newsletter). Run address list to send the CPS Messenger to employees’ home. Manage the scheduling and administrative preparation for the Random Drug & Alcohol testing days for CPS employees. This includes managing the logistics with the vendor for each event and providing notifications to supervisors the day of testing (supervisor responsible for bringing employee to the event) Help to maintain data integrity in Workday to include, but not limited to running regular system audits, creating supervisory orgs, ensuring employee shift schedules are correct and updated (updating shift codes), business titles and any necessary corrections/updates. Work closely with supervisors, administrative coordinators, recruiting and HR Ops to facilitate updates. Serve as a USA Leave Expert team member providing guidance to US employee population on leave of absences and accommodation inquiries. Support the US Employee Relations team and serve as a witness/notetaker (most commonly for the ER level cases which are higher profile and/or more complex) Regularly monitor the global PIP process Workday reports and notify HR Contacts of pending transactions, past due transactions, and any other necessary updating to ensure accuracy of key performance process steps. May provide backup support for the USA background adjudication process for new hires as needed. May assists with the recruitment process, provides administrative support for the selection and on boarding of candidates internally and externally. May participate or assist in projects as assigned. Receive HR/Business Unit/ Company-wide communications and acts upon it as necessary. Recommend changes to current processes in own area to respond to customer needs. Identify and solve complex issues using existing policies and procedures. About You You’re a fit for the role of HR Coordinator if your background includes: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience General professional and conceptual knowledge in human resources policies, practices, and procedures. 3 to 5+ years of related experience in related administrative support roles. Prior experience handling confidential information. Human Resources experience a plus. Knowledge Workday HRIS a plus. Good understanding of client group, their needs, and ability to support priorities. Communicates information clearly, asks questions and checks for understanding. Responds to routine or standard requests from employees and internal partners. Ability to gain support from colleagues for ideas and initiatives. Sound judgment skills required. What’s in it For You?
