The Video Product Manager will lead video focused initiatives across all advertising-supported video for the consumer business within Reuters – including OTT, social, and website – working closely with Editorial, Ad Sales & Operations, Technology and the wider Product teams. About the Role In this opportunity as Video Product Manager, you will: Own enterprise Video Digital Asset Management System, Video player and Internal Video CMS tools. Own product management for video streaming on existing and new OTT platforms and playout on reuters.com. Identify and implement new features for playback and ad-tech optimization. Closely partner with Revenue Operations team to ensure experience is optimized for various revenue streams (direct, open auction, and DTC). Prioritize the implementation of new features and set specific timelines; troubleshoot video related defects. Conduct research to identify user needs and gaps; keep on top of industry trends, technologies, and techniques. Conduct market research to identify trends to stay ahead of the curve. Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders including Sales, Analytics, Editorial, Technology and Partners. Work with editorial, technology, legal, customer support, and other teams to ensure that our practices, templates, and procedures make us easy to do business with. Collaborate with the design and engineering teams to reach the best possible version of a feature (or new product). Manage exceptions and unexpected changes to our product portfolio and operations. Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to determine the overall health of products and identify new opportunities for improvements, new ways of working, and new areas of development. About You You’re a fit for the role of Video Product Manager if your background includes: Working knowledge of digital video players and streaming technologies across multiple platforms (e.g., web, mobile and different connected TV devices) Minimum of 3 years product experience in agile software development, including integrating customer feedback into requirements, driving prioritization and execution with a focus on improving key metrics Ability to read and understand technical standards and specs Willingness to work either independently or collaboratively across multi-functional teams as the situation requires Translating concepts and requests between technical and non-technical audiences Strong track record partnering with design teams and guiding UX Excellent written and verbal communication skills Understanding of project management tools such as JIRA, ADO and Trello Knowledge of video advertising Knowledge of video and content technology including production work streams, content management systems, and digital asset management Understanding of digital ad insertion and ad measurement (e.g. ad beacons, IAB Open Measurement, ComScore VCE or Nielsen DAR) Experience working with global teams What’s in it For You?
