    Position summary

    We are looking for a Salesforce Administrator & Release Engineer with strong technical skills and business acumen to join our Commercial Engineering organization. In this role, you will automate and improve the deployment pipeline, streamline internal processes, and develop and implement governance to enhance the overall efficiency of the organization. As a technical subject matter expert, you will be expected to adhere to industry best practices and possess an in-depth understanding of the platform's capabilities and limitations. This position will play a crucial role in driving Thomson Reuters' current and future digital experiences. You will be responsible for identifying innovative ideas and proof of concepts to meet the evolving needs of our customers. Reporting to the Director of Agile Release Management - Commercial Platform, you will collaborate with application and platform engineering teams to ensure a consistent and reliable customer experience. Job Description Oversee the DevOps development and process efficiencies Design the environment strategy and align the development teams to the correct branching strategy based on the release goals of our program Act as a release manager, approving configuration and coded items to be deployed between environments. Where appropriate, this could include deploying changes Actively contribute in any team discussions by sharing experiences or providing technical know-how to the team to best leverage the out of the box capabilities. Stay current on Salesforce’s development platform and implement Salesforce development best practices, following the RBC internal standards and guidelines. Experience in building and enhancing CICD pipelines and tools to deploy Salesforce Packages (e.g., Gearset, Jenkins, Copado) Design process/schedule to deliver completed development to various environments Design and write build scripts Verify successful continuous delivery deployments Maintain a version control repository and design branch structure Coordinate releases to our production environment with our environments and deployment teams Review continuous delivery validation builds for failures Move development and configuration work between version control branches Resolve deployment issues with development and configuration teams Provide Salesforce administration support and guidance to our delivery partners What do you need to succeed? Must-have Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent with relevant work experience designing, implementing and supporting Salesforce CICD pipeline Minimum 5 years of experience in a Development/DevOps role Minimum 5 years of experience managing and supporting Salesforce CICD pipeline Proven experience managing system changes without interruption to the user Experience working with Agile methodology Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools such as source control, and automation Strong communication skills Hands on experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools such as Jenkins, Github Actions, Urban Code Deploy Experience integrating DevOps pipelines with code scanning tools such as Checkmarx Experience with Copado Nice-to-have Experience implementing CRM solutions in the financial sector Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Administrator Do you want to be part of a team helping re-invent the way knowledge professionals work?
