    Position summary

As we expand our Operations, we are currently seeking an experienced DevOps engineer to join our Shared Capabilities Operation team to deliver highly available, scalable, mission critical platforms. Specifically, we are searching for someone who brings fresh ideas, highly skilled in latest Cloud technologies, demonstrates a unique and informed viewpoint, and enjoys collaborating with a cross-functional team in multiple locations. Responsibilities Build reliable, scalable and secured cloud-based production platforms Implement non functional requirements to ensure system availability, scalability, performance, monitoring, alerting and efficient incident troubleshooting Provide primary operational support and engineering for multiple large, distributed Kubernetes clusters Implement automation (CICD, IaC) and promote best practices for our CI/CD processes Build and maintain monitoring for all aspects of infrastructure and the platform and implement Alerting mechanism using cloud native solutions Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our services and continually measure and optimize performance Act as the go to person for any production issue, troubleshoot and escalate as needed and monitor until successful resolution. Communicate status with the team and stakeholders. Participate in on-call/shift rotations. When on-call, you are expected to drive the troubleshooting and mitigation activities while working on incident This position includes hours outside the established work schedule as needed and requires being part of an on-call rotation including weekends. Maintain end-to-end security ensuring that we meet best practices standards Documenting “tribal” knowledge. Constant upkeep of documentation and runbooks can ensure that teams get the information they need right when they need it Conducting post-incident review Extreme collaboration within our teams – Canada, US and India Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred - a must Minimum of 3 years experience as DevOps engineer with hands on experience in cloud technologies Highly skilled in Unix/Linux and knowledge (exposure to RHEL) Hands on experience in building and operating cloud native applications and services on AWS Must have experience in automation for CI/CD - Terraform (Git /Jenkins / CloudFormation a plus) Hands on experience in building and operating workload in Kubernetes and experience is Container technologies (such as Docker). Experience/knowledge in Istio service mesh - plus Experience or knowledge of Distributed logging: ELK, DataDog, SumoLogic, CloudWatch Security Skills: Working knowledge of concepts related to network security, including encryptions, authorization, and protocols Experience entering and updating incident tickets in tracking systems, such as ServiceNow A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks Team player with a can do attitude Do you want to be part of a team helping re-invent the way knowledge professionals work?
