    Position summary

    Senior Manager, Disaster Recovery As a key manager in the Resilience function, this role will provide assurance that the organization and our customers are protected if technology resources are unavailable due to an unforeseen disruption in alignment with the stated policy. The manager will provide leadership in coordinating, assessing, tracking, monitoring & communicating recovery environment requirements and contingency plans associated with the TR´s internal systems and the services and products provided to customers. The ideal candidate will manage a small global team to drive and facilitate the planning, design, development, execution/testing, maintenance, documentation (using Fusion as the tool) and remediation of DR plans for the TR enterprise and business units, where required. This is all in support of TR’s wider Resilience objectives, which are being matured using an ISO 22301 framework. The person who fills this position is expected to interact with technology & engineering groups, company business units, and application support management, with a major focus on assuring the adequacy of business unit contingency plans for critical business areas, functions, and applications. Key objectives are that business units can continue to manage TR’s assets, satisfy our regulatory obligations, and maintain TR´s presence in the marketplace. About the Role In this opportunity as Senior Manager, Disaster Recovery, you will: Lead the Disaster Recovery solution delivery program and Technology’s ability to respond to disasters and interruptions in an appropriate manner. Assist and supports business units Assess the potential business impact (Business Impact Analysis) covering Processes, Services, and Products. Define critical, time-sensitive functions, recovery priorities, and strategies for the proper sequence of recovery components. Design, develop and document DR plans that are properly well-defined for the relevant business process areas, ensuring it is fully documented and reflects current conditions including from an IT infrastructure recovery standpoint Create, maintain, and test the various business continuity plans and the self-assessing of their control environment, ensuring annual test exercises are executed for critical business processes, and test reports including lessons learned are produced and documented. Develop business unit schedules for annual BCDR documentation maintenance and update, exercises, and independent review and validation. Manage and lead of the DR service, including entitlement reviews and metrics preparation. Perform risk analysis for critical business processes and applications to identify points of vulnerability and recommends disaster avoidance and reduction strategies. Review existing and proposed DR plans for recoverability effectiveness, recommending recovery strategies and options, where appropriate, and identify opportunities for improvement. Verify that plans and strategies are appropriate, cohesive, viable, and effective to recover key functions within required time frames. Develop schedules for training/awareness for business units. Educate and train to all employees having a need to understand the BCDR in practices of technology risk disaster recovery planning and in the correct implementation of DR processes, and standards and impart training to ensure recoverability of business processes and supporting services across business units. Facilitate timely identification, escalation, resolution, and follow-up for outstanding issues. About You You’re a fit for the role of Senior Manager, Disaster Recovery if your background includes: BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or related field or equivalent work experience. Disaster Recovery Certification (DRCP minimum) Certification such as CISSP and/or CISA/CISM a plus Extensive Experience with disaster recovery tools, their implementation, use, run and maintain Cross Domain experience with working knowledge of Linux, Windows, and Database Technologies Experience with Fusion Framework for comprehensive contingency planning including Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Crisis Management is an asset Proven experience within either GRC (Governance, Risk, Compliance) or Technology. Robust understanding of IT environments and their nuances Proven experience in developing DR programs Strong understanding of disaster recovery software (DRaaS – Disaster Recovery as a Service), implementation, and ongoing run/maintain. Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills and ability to understand technology sufficiently to clearly communicate the complexity in simple terms for key stakeholders, technical and non-technical audiences What’s in it For You?
