If so, we can't wait to hear from you We are looking for a Sr. Postgres DBA About the role: In this opportunity as Sr. Postgres DBA, you will: Define database design and infrastructure standards in conjunction with the architecture team, including supported DBMSs, features, and server configurations Partner with specific development and business partners to assess database hardware, database design and configuration requirements. Recommend solutions that conform to supported standards. Develop and maintain standard solutions for database software installation, database creation, database monitoring and management. Develop and maintain standard solutions for database migrations, technical refreshes, processes, procedures, and the necessary tools to regularly audit the database environment for conformance to implementation standards. Database Support Provide frequent escalation support for front line operational support DBA team for production incidents that require application specific knowledge or investigation. Assume ownership of database related problems and pursue root cause analysis and problem resolution through coordinated interaction with database vendors and internal support teams. Define and implement database changes that require specific application knowledge or using new technologies, approaches, or techniques. Direct the execution of periodic audits for standards compliancy and backup consistency. Learn and stay current on the features and functionality of Oracle database technology, and Postgresql focusing on technology to improve performance, availability, reliability, stability, and work efficiencies. About you: You are fit for the role of a Cloud Engineer if you have: Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent with relevant work experience in cloud engineering. Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills. Good communication and collaboration skills with onsite/remote teams. +5 years of experience as DBA or related position Experience working with PostgreSQL database Experience working with Linux Experience monitoring the performance of the database system, analyzing performance metrics, and tuning the system to optimize performance. Staying up-to-date with the latest PostgreSQL releases and features, and identifying opportunities to leverage new features to improve the database system's performance and functionality. Planning and executing database migrations and upgrades to ensure the database system remains up-to-date and secure.
